Matt's Antarctic Almanac

Comments: Condition 1 and still in Antarctica

Sorry to hear that you've been delayed, but it's always better to be safe than sorry. I've really enjoyed being kept up-to-date on your trip. I can't imagine spending 5 weeks there, but you've made it sound and look really, really interesting. Have a safe, safe trip home and thanks again for the great stories!!

I realized that I had not yet left a comment, so I decided to tell you something stupid like:

Elton John's "Rocket Man" reminds me of you - not the drug inferences, but the plain words.

Looking forward to seeing you...

Whoa. I'm sorry to hear that Matt. I just caught up on your blogs, since I was in Minnesota. It sounds like your Thanksgiving and parties went well, but life always has hurdles, irony, and a twisted sense of humor, and your delay is no exception. I hope you are able to leave soon and get back to Sara. I can't think of anything worse than "waiting," especially during poor conditions. Hang in there, and have a safe trip home.

We feel for 'ya Matt. I checked the McMurdo weather, though, and I'm kinda feeling like today may be the day. Have a SAFE trip. I'll be anxiously awaiting word that you've landed.
